You may have difficulty contacting them, so don't worry - the phone networks had there priorities changed to let more people get through to the emergency services, although apparently more networks are coming online now.
If possible leave it till tonight to ring, then you will get through.

Oh my, here I am posting silly posts about Bang Bang and then I read this post. What do they mean, I ask myself. Get to the link. Read it with sadness.
I am so sorry this is happening to the good folks of London. I hate these cowards who attack common people because they lack the balls to attack the real people they are angry with.
Our prayers go out to you.

My sincerest condolances to the victims and their relatives. I hope noone here has been directly affected by this but I'm sure we all feel deeply for those who were.

By good luck, I'm not in London Today.
If it wasnt for my health, I'd have been helping my cousin working in London - so I'm quite thankful for being stuck at home for once.
Condolences to all who have had someone they know get caught up in all this. I'mpleased to say all my friends & family are safe, though a couple were close.
Statement claiming London attacks The BBC has located an Islamist website that has published a 200-word statement issued by an organisation saying it carried out the London bombings. The organisation calls itself the Secret Organisation Group of al-Qaeda [literally the base] of Jihad Organisation in Europe.
The group not previously been heard of. The website has previously carried statements purporting to be from al-Qaeda. It is not possible to verify such claims published on the web.
This is the full text of the statement.
Nation of Islam and Arab nation: Rejoice for it is time to take revenge against the British Zionist Crusader government in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan. The heroic mujahideen have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern, and western quarters.
We have repeatedly warned the British Government and people. We have fulfilled our promise and carried out our blessed military raid in Britain after our mujahideen exerted strenuous efforts over a long period of time to ensure the success of the raid.
We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all the Crusader governments that they will be punished in the same way if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. He who warns is excused.
God says: "You who believe: If ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly."

Actually according to eye witnesses there was very little panic, on the trains an eye witness thought it had been another one of British Rails train crashes and everyone bashed in the rear door and walked free along the tracks. Out side, rather than scenes of panic, everyone was straining to see past the barriers and find out what was going on. Local shops gave free food to the hospitals to feed the massive influx of victims.
I think they forgot that we survived the 80's and are quite used to being regularly bombed . Not saying that it isn't a bad thing - just that rather than leaving us in a state of gut wrenching fear, the average civilian is probably thinking "Oh great, now I will definately miss Gardners World tonight." or "Why would they do such a thing? Why kill themselves for a purpose which they haven't fully explained? We wouldn't have been in Iraq and Afganistan if they hadn't have bombed the twin towers..."
The question is what do we do about this? Can we fix it? Or do we have to just put up with it? We never found a solution for Ireland after hundreds of years :S, so I don't know.

Hi,
As someone who has lived through terrorist attacks and lost friends to them as well, everyone affected by these attacks has my every sympathy.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Well it looks as though it is not nearly as bad as I feared when I heard the initial reports... I certainly hope the incredibly low casualty estimates being reported so far are not far from the truth. I was expecting another Madrid or worse.

I, too, pray that all members and their families are all safe. It does bring back memories of the WTC attack. I have a friend who was one his way there for a business meeting, but traffic was stopped at the bridges into Manhatten. Fortunately his meeting wasn't earlier in the day.
