hi all, I'd mentioned it some time ago in my To6g thread, that time when I named a cruiser the Archangel Gavriel, that the name had been suggested by the memory of a ship I'd seen wrecked on the coast here. I was around 3 or 4 then, but I distinctly remembered the huge bulk stranded on the rocks, so out of place there... and I had nightmares about something on the deck which for some reason had huge laughing faces on it in my dream (chaos?) - I never worked out what it could be, but at last I've found one of my grails - a photo of the wrecked ship. A friend had a print somewhere and I managed to scan it. And I discovered the source of my ancient nightmare too: it was a collection of large vent pipes clustered around the funnel. |Weird, this, for some reason I'm positive these were the face-things in my dream. Another ghost laid to rest, I suppose.... sleep well, old ship. cheers all, John |

Yep. Admiral Piett, the scourge of his own fleet in Man O'War. Most likely anyway unless I am a born admiral (fat chance).  Then there's Colonel Piett of the hugely oversized 14th Fennican Guard regiment, Grand Master Piett of Fireswords titan legion, Chapter Master Mojarneus Piett of the Death Knights chapter, The arch-traitor Piett of Alpha Legion and, worst of all, Nearseer Piett of Tel-Bain craftworld...
