My grandfather would be happy. But being born in England I will just say "bah humbug"!! ![]() Have n't caght the game- been busy working. Yes I know it is Saturday but am in middle of year end audit. Look forward to catching the highlights of the Welsh game either tonight/tomorrow. Their earlier matches in the tournament have been very entertaining with emphasis on attacking rugby. Congrats! Cheers James |

What an awesome Saturday. I was intending to work all weekend, to make up for a slow week. I got up at 8am & started painting which was very good of me! then it all went wonderfully wrong. Get a call from a very close friend who persuades me to stop working in such nice weather & go for a pub lunch with her. Lunch became a 3 hour event having not seen each other in a long while. Got back home at 3:28. Rugby started at 3:30. Great match! Huge Congrats to Wales, it was a superb performance from both teams, but well won. They've been storming the whole tournament, with a focus I've not noted in the elsh team previously & some very good tactical play to boot. And I certainly have to agree on the part of my Irish friends that a big win so close after St Paddy's day would have been more than the livers could have handled! A quick bit of shopping for dinner & got back 3 minutes into the Calcutta cup match. I wasnt planning on watching that one, but hey... Work had already gone by the board ![]() Folowed by Pizza all round & a night of Banter & catching up with mates for the first time since they were all last home at Christmas, and my "hard working" Saturday came to an end at 3:30am. So working today's pretty much scuppered as well... ![]() |

Didn't get to watch this weekend's matches as I was on a road trip to Liverpool looking for heavy metal and old mates from uni. I'm just glad that the French didn't win the tournament and that England didn't completely disintegrate. ![]() |

Did I miss an excuse to celebrate? ![]() My weekend was spent writing articles for various sources including Incoming! Bit of a detox after thursday which was seriously bad... I genuinely think that going to the Octoberfest with Doug will kill me, I just can't take beer! |

Don't worry the German beer is very clean. We spent 7 days drinking (with the Germans insisting we tested all the home brew schnapps ![]() ![]() Ibs, It's a Euro thing. Wales,Scotland,England,Ireland,France and Italy. All going head to head in Rugby( like American football without padding that flows faster and seems to allow punching to sovle minor problems ![]() Cheers. |

Rugby's generally less physically damaging than American Football, cos you only get to pulverise the guy who's holding the ball (rucks, mauls and scrums don't feature much impact, they're more about pushing (and the odd bit of stamping)), where in AF you can impact anyone who's within 10 yards of the scrimmage line. So over the course of the game, you get hit more if you're playing American Football. Thus all the armour. Mmmm... Drinking... |
