Hi guys,

Well it seems Photobucket has decided they want to charge for hosting pics which now means all of my pics are showing up across the interweb as blurry images with Photobucket pastered across them! great.

Not wanting to spend quite a bit of money, I thought it easier and tidier to start up a new thread. All my old paintings are still viewable on my DeviantArt gallery so if you fancy a look, check it out; https://www.deviantart.com/stugmeister/gallery/

In the meantime, here's a couple of my latest paintings!

I was again commissioned to paint the prize paintings for this year's Epic UK grand tournament, this is the ninth year I've had the privilege! Both took six and a half hours each in Corel Painter 2016.

Guys, sorry for not responding, I've been a tad busy with moving house at the end of 2019 and then there was this pandemic thing in 2020? Not sure if you heard about it...

Thank you again for all your support. :)

I'll post some more paintings up soon.

I'm using a Wacom pad (nothing too fancy) and Corel Painter 2016.

I do!! :)

And behold! Here I have four new paintings. These were all done over the past year.

The first one we have you may recognise. This was a painting I did for that good man Elsmore back in 2011. He contacted me to ask if it'd be possible to have a landscape version of his painting.

Wh40K: Exodite Eldar Army
Image
I'd originally painted this in Photoshop CS1 but am now solely using Corel Painter so I had to spend a little while working out which brushes would work best to emulate the work I'd done nine (!) years ago.

Elsmore actually wanted a painting for each of his awesome Epic armies. If you've not seen them, do check them out on his website - you'll be impressed; https://miniwars.co.uk/miniatures-showcases/

The second army he wanted a painting of was his Sisters of Battle.

Wh40K: Sisters of Battle Army
Image
I used details and colours within the painting to ensure it tied in with his army. This took me over 21 hours to paint in Corel Painter.

And for his third and final army, his glorious Blood Angels!

Wh40K: Blood Angels Terminator Assault
Image
I wanted to give my client a very atmospheric painting, something the bloody sunset, dust and crackling clouds help to convey. Painted in Corel Painter.

And finally, nothing to do with Elsmore, here we have the last painting. I was contacted by a chap on DeviantArt who wanted some Dark Eldar Battlefleet Gothic artwork!

Wh40K: BFG Dark Eldar Cruiser
Image
This painting took around seven hours to paint in Corel Painter 2016.

I really enjoyed tackling the Dark Eldar ships. In fact I enjoyed the whole painting as I've not done a space painting for a very long time. The Dauntless Light Cruiser being cut through was rather satisfying to paint.

I didn't think it possible - but your artwork has improved since I last saw it. Love the old school Blood Angel terminators!

Hey chaps, long time no post! It's been a while. Let's just call it real life getting in the way. I've been a busy beaver on the artwork front, let me share with you some of my recent and not so recent work.

First up Amiga Characters at the Pub
Image
My first computer was an Amiga A500. Both my brother and I are lifelong fans, in fact, he's such a fan he's even got himself a Youtube channel on the go; http://www.youtube.com/user/amipal24
Anyway, it was a big birthday for him (and me), so I thought why not paint him something for his Amiga-centric study at home. I've seen lots of Marvel and DC character fan-art that revolves around the characters interacting at a bar; that inspired me to do the same with the Amiga game characters we grew up with, all within our local pub we used to frequent when we were college students.

I painted this in Corel Painter over three weeks. It probably took me over twenty hours I reckon.

Next is another birthday painting.

Goblinquest
Image
I painted this for my best bud's 40th birthday, he requested a painting that combined his two favourite things; Heroquest and goblins!

Thus Gobboquest was born!! :)

This took me over 15 hours to paint in Corel Painter.

Gaslands: Blazing Little Pickup
Image
This was a quick hour's painting. I love playing Gaslands, it's such a fun game. Who doesn't love playing with toy cars? :)
