I just received another batch from the painter. I have gotten more stuff painted in the last year then in the previous five years.  :D

If this stuff had to wait for me, it would still be waiting.  :L

There are pluses and minus, as with everything else.
I find that hired guns = less minis = sad Tas!

At least i can hold bare metal and dream of its future colouring :D
But thats just me, I dont get too mcuh time for gaming so having to get them done isnt a major priority.

Well, I have this odd way of looking at things. If they are unpainted, I could sell/trade them off and someday regret it. Or I could get it painted, then never get rid of it and have my armies until I die.

I like the idea of my kids having to try and find a buyer for "dads little men".

Of course, you could always go with primarch's philosphy and be buried with them! :D

The next thing you say is that you have built a huge bin to house the minis and go there for a morning swim.

Swim? No.

But do I want to have a room where I can display all my stuff and go in for a gloat once in a while? Sure.

I first have to figure out how to afford a larger house here in the So Cal area. :O

Then I will look at cases. :;):

I'll ONLY have to fight petty bureaucrats who think they are the next one from God. Upwards...

Hi!

I agree hired guns are great!

I just lack the time at present to do them myself. While it is true it does cost, the results and joy of receiving quite a bit of minis all painted and ready to go is wonderful. :)

I want to buy a few huge curio cases to display my best figures!

Alas, the dream is still distant! My liyyle apartment is already full! :(

Shalom,

My War Room has shelve after shelve of most of my Epic in display cases!

And the rest in boxes plus terrain.

The gaming table is in the middle. The table (6'x5') has a GEO-Hex mat, now covered with poster boards.

The table doubles as a workbench and storage until... "the games begin!" :;):

I agree, that is how I see it. My painting skills are poor, I am more pressed for time then anything else, so it is worth it to me to have the minis painted all up.
