Excellent game, looks gorgeous and play very well. Takes some time from my painting, though.

Hi!
You mean the real big ones? I havent got there yet. I'm currently on foot after the long highway 17 run. Definitely a cool game!

I haven't seen it yet.
My nephews bought Mario-Kart for X-Box and we've been enjoying that alot when Uncle visits. They're vicious in Kart gladiator matches.
I personally don't own a video game system other than my PC, which doesn't have the memory or graphics capability to play the latest batches of games. The last game I played was MOO-3, which was a HUGE disappointment.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Quote (primarch @ 23 2004 Nov.,20:53) | Hi!
You mean using the pheromone grendaes to use them as weapons?
I must warn you I ALWAYS buy a strategy book with my PC games...
..so there are no secrets....
Primarch | Yep, that was what I was hinting about. Generally, I only buy strategy guides for the huge RPGs that I know I won't have time to go twice through (Final Fantasy).

Half - Life 2 is Game of the Year, hands down. Awesome production values, great gameplay, graphics, atmosphere.... the list goes on and on. And to be expected for a game in development for 6 years. First time to my knowledge a game has gone that long and actually came out a sucess.
my 2cents,

I finished it on Thursday, the end was incredible, with a superb last second plot twist (no spoilers here, it involves ***** and ********* and ********).
For me, HL2 was not revolutionary, but rather the culmination of a genre. The experience borders on cinematographic.
I finished it just in time to start Metroid Prime 2 (another genre entirely although it's also in first person). Have to hurry on MP2, since Prince of Persia : Warrior Within is arriving this weekend.

Although noone will be able to persuade a diehard Doom3 person... the game really is a one trick monster... Too obviously scripted, intending to simply scare you all the time. They could have spend some of the time and effort on making the environment more interactive and improving monster AI instead of on the graphics ( which are pretty, but do not make a game) I know what you are going to say, HL2 has the same scripted stuff, but it is much less obvious. And the Ravenhome level was just as scary as anything in Doom3. With the advent of mods to add multi and coop in the near future (grav gun anyone?) the game is near perfect. Of course, as always , this is my opinion.

Although I think I prefer Doom 3.... |
Yeap, the black in HL2 was nowhere near as good as the black in D3. And there was less of it to boot.
