Anyone use anything other than IE?
I'm currently trying out Mozilla Firefox... which meets with my approval so far...

I use a bundle of different browsers
Safari Mozilla on Windows, Mac OS and Linux Camino Netscape Konqueror Firefox
What I like about most of these is Tabbed Browsing (rather than multiple Windows), in-built pop-up blockers (which work, though I know that IE with SP2 does have it now, better late than never). I also like the fact that Safari has Google built-in, for easier searching.
I now try and avoid IE due to inumerable security issues even when using Windows! And when I do I now have the Google toolbar installed.

Here's why I like Safari
I needed to remember a URL,
http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php3
which is almost impossible to remember, but I know by putting gimp print into Google it will be link number 2.
Another reason why I like Safari, my bookmarks are sync'd across all my Macs and I can access them on any computer, which means wherever I am I can access my Bookmarks.

I'm currently using Mozilla Firefox, and Opera 7. On the rare occasion that I 'need' to use Explorer (shudder), I use the Avant browser. I like Mozilla, but it needs to be easier to open tabs and such.

I use firefox at work. It doesn't require Administrator-level privileges, gives me tabbed browsing, and blocks popups and ads.

Couple of quick Firefox questions-
1). Can I set things so that links that prompt a new window usually (ones in people's posts on this forum for example), instead open in a new tab, or do I always have to right click and choose from the menu?
2). Can I make MSN Messenger open my email in Firefox instead of IE?
Thanks in advance!

You can download tons of extensions to do things like that. I have one now that does just what you are talking about. I don't know about MSN messenger, but there is probably an extension to allow that too. I love Firefox!

Holding down CTRL while clicking on links will open in new tabs.
There's probably a setting in about:config that allows you to change the default behaviour, or google for it.

i LOVE firefox ! i use many brower (the thing is, i'm webmaster and it's my job to make webpages), but Firefox is particularily handy for web development (a great expension pack is "webdevelopper" if you work for web), and it handles HTML/Css/Javascript in a very nice way.

Just found out it will be nigh on impossible to get Messenger to do what I want... its coded to open with IE, and its too much hassle for me to bother sorting it...

Messenger is dangerous anyways....I never use the thing... Or maybe I'm just paranoid.
