I ask myself this every year, and write a list every year. Typically, I have a 50% completion rate. Some highlights for this year are: 1. Actually, maybe buy more than I did in previous years. 2. Keep making and playing games of my own! 3. Maybe get some of those games someplace useful 4. Keep exploring new game systems 5. Paint a few odds and ends How about you? What is on your list to do? My to do list for this year: 1. Play at least 10 games for the development of my brother and mine's Stricke Sector 2. Play a few games of Epic, Team Yankee, Dystopian Wars and SAGA 3. Play in the Summer Campaign of Mantic Games' Kings of War 4. Paint up more than in 2016 (I ended the year at 233 different game pieces) |

I've given up trying to get any significant amount of stuff painted, at this point I just want to get all my miniatures into adequate storage solutions. |

In 2017 I'll want to: - Paint up 2x2000p Warmaster armies (Empire and Demons). - Finish the Gargant list and get it approved. - Host at least 2 Epic tournaments. - Play miniature wargames at least once a week all year long! |

By the end of the year I'm aiming to get my imperial guard to the 200+ infantry stands mark and make a decent dent in my Iyanden. 2016 was my first real "year or painting" despite doing wargaming for nearly 25 years (oh the shame....) but it was a bumper year for painting productivity so another year like last year would see me pretty much hit the mark. The Must Do's: - Play lots of epic - play lots of warmaster - play lots of space hulk with my son - paint up epic knight army - finish warmaster dwarfs - get Red Corsairs list to approved status The 'it would be nice ifs': - get 3k of epic eldar painted - paint my warmaster bretonnians - paint up some Hordes trollblood stuff, enough for more than a battlebox game - paint up the contents of the space hulk box The 'a man can dream can't he?-'s': - paint up my feral orks - paint up my emperor's children - paint up my house devine army That's it for me, quite modest if I do say so myself...

Plans are pretty simple - finish last couple of units for Eldar harlequins - finish last few squat units - paint a load of TK sons - potentially a tbc mystery army - Try to get more tournamnent points than last year - Paint the guildball team I've just been given for Christmas - Play guildball! |

Definitely want to buy less and paint more. Can't set myself any figure targets. But I would like to tick some of these off in 2017: 1) Get basic force (3-4 Brigades/Divisions) 28mm French Napoleonic ready for Black Powder 2) Get starting force (1-2 Brigades/Divisions 28mm Greek/Macedonians ready for Hail Casesar 3) Get small force (dozen - 20 figures) 28mm Woodland Indians / Militia ready for Muskets & Tomahawks 4) Get 2 gangs (each 5-10 figures) 28mm Pulp ready for Pulp Alley 5) Finish basing and highlighting my 3.000 points EA Steel Legion army 6) Finish basing and highlighting my 4.000 points EA Evil Sunz army 7) Maybe start painting my Epic Blood Angels and/or Eldar forces But given that the only painting I was able to get done in 2016 between operations was painting some 28mm Egyptian scenery for Pulp Alley. the above list could be tough unles I get my painting mojo back.
