Does anyone know of a list of the different IG units? I mean those found in "Offical" publications. I have seen such lists for the Marine Chapters, but I do not recall one for the IG. Thanks dafrca |

I've seen many talked about in W/D ... but I don't know if there is a "list" since there would be hundreds of worlds that they come from. Maybe in a 40K Codex ? |

I know in theory there could be thousands. What I also know if, like the Space marines, GW will focus in on a few units over and over again. What I was wondering about is those 20 or so that must have found theore way into the fluff. I was thinking of something like the White Scars of IG. They are spoke of, but not the "main" units. dafrca |

There have been several "lists" for IG in the White Dwarf over the years. The Armageddon website had some, as did the Eye of Terror Codex. Of Course, the new IG codex has some of those. But AFAIK there hasn't been a compilation, which is a shame. Here's a list of different regiments I have seen, listed by the source. "No info" means that there was only a name and no fluff. From IG Codex: Armageddon Steel Legion Cadian Shock troops Catachan Jungle Fighters Death Korps of Krieg Harakoni Warhawks Kanak Skull Takers Mordian Iron Guard Savlar Chem Dogs Tallarn Desert Raiders Tanith First & Only Terrax Guard Valhallan Ice Warriors From Armageddon Website: Armageddon Ork Hunters Arphista Penal Legion (No Info) Asgardian Rangers Elysian Drop Troops Jopall Identured Squadrons Krourk Ogryn Auxilia Minervan Tank Legion Monglor Ogryn Auxilia Noctan Strike Forces Ocanon Phalanx Troops (No Info) Pyran Dragoons Savlar Chem-Riders (No Info) Semtexian Bombardiers Zouvan Skirmishers From Codex: Eye of Terror. All are in the "No info" category Avellornian Gunners Bar-El Penal Legion Gudrunite Rifles Kellersburg Irregulars Knovian Gharkas Narsine Yeomanry Thracian Guard Van De'Mans World "Redbacks" Zenonian Free Companies WD 284: Necromundan 8th "The Spiders" Mordant 303rd "Acid Dogs" Drookian Fen Guard Finreht Highlanders Jouran Dragoons Doubtless there are others, but these are what I have found. |

The problem is that that there are an endless supply of regiments and home worlds, and no standardised structure such as the Marines. This makes it difficult to go beyond 'the most common units'. You could also look at the Blue Bloods, Ghosts and others in the Gaunt books (I have always wanted a regiment of the Imperial Guard with the reversible reflective armour plates that fought with the Ghosts.... now, what were they called...?). |

I've published the list from the Armageddon background a number of times on this page. It is also in the new E-A rule book as well as in the 40k Armageddon rule book and on the web site. I've got a project to build a Jopalli regiment! Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |

Yep, I noticed that too. Maybe there's going to be Hexogenian grenadiers of Seefourtian demolishers... ![]() The 8th Necromundan is REALLY old regiment which has been around since Rogue Trader. Krieg Panzer Divisions have also been mentioned briefly, but there' next to no fluff about them. |
