Pretty amusing. But honestly I have worked in IT for three fortune 100 companies the last 16 years and the amount of waste I see on a regular basis blows my mind. I have to be honest, if I was let go like that and the company had the balls to call me, I would ask for as many details as I could get, laugh, and then hang up. As far as I am concerned, the employee gave them too much info in the process of rubbing it in, without any differences in the final results. I would rather have enjoyed knowing they were in confusion for a lot longer. In the end, the IT director got a big bill, but it was still less than his salary. I am sure it just got swept under somewhere. |
