Were you drunk when you wrote this post ?!  ? I know you're young my friend, but by asking the question ... well ... none of us understand women but I know that no woman I know or knew would ever play wargames ... ? But if they played Epic, they'd collect Chaos Armies, especially Slanneshi Forces !

My girlfriend actually started painting 40K Imperial Guard recently, but that went away. I even got a load of friends painting a 40K Genestealer on one Friday night - you should have seen the colours. Still, I am kind of glad that she does not like this kind of thing, it is my escapism from the world. I dont know of any females on this board, and it does not particularly surprise me.

I agree with cyber. ?This is one of the few things (other than automobile and home maintanence) that I have all to myself. ?My wife doesn't get it and thats fine by me. My two year old daughter thinks my paints are pretty pretties and thats the only interest she's shown. So for now this hobby is all mine. |

my wife consistently beats me at Talisman...  though I did beat her at Sharpe's Attack (a Napoleonic boardgame) usually she doesn't go near the miniatures side of thing |

The human mind works very differently when under the influence of alcohol. I wouldn't expect any females to be interested in painting and gaming with models. The most painting they do is of their nails! It's like trying to pick up a girl at at GW store...it just ain't gonna happen! Cheers Chris |

Of course if they reject you out of hand, they have the right to be "discriminating" ...  In racial terms it's called a double standard, with females it's called "Women's Rights" !

Indeed Stormseer, they are usually tomboys or really REALLY butch! I see women in there though...usually mum's being dragged round, while their kids are say "I want one of them!!!" Damn GW Rugrats! Cheers Chris |
