Has anyone got this? What are the general opinions about it? I flicked through it in my local store and it looked pretty good... but I don't want to be fooled by the pretty pictures! |

I've since found it and the general consensus is it's a bit of a turkey. Might have to take it off my xmas list then before someone buys it for me ![]() |

From what I remember it was a fairly well done book, and had some good stuff, but that being said, few on this site jumped to buy it. Maybe those who did get it will be able to give you better input, however I guess most of us would rather save our $ for minis ... since it was rather "pricey" ! ![]() |

Hi! As with most GW products, lots of "eye candy", but sometimes little substance. Primarch |

I was one of the minority who liked it. Its done like a history book and if you like fluff- you'll like this this book. However if you want army info etc then its not for you |

I just think it does not live up to its name: BATTLE for Armageddon. I was expecting tactical and strategic maps, orders of battle, summaries of main battles and such things as are found in the Osprey "Campaign" series of books. It had none of those, just fluff written from the perspective of some Inquisitor posing as an archivest or something like that. Phooey. ![]() |

Yes, I was expecting an Osprey-like book, but like I said, from what I saw online it didn't look bad ... but $ is, as always, a factor ... ![]() |
