G'day all,

I'm visiting the US of A in December for 3 weeks and was wondering if there was any major Cons or stuff going on then?

I'll be on the West Coast (San Diego) throughout.

Hopefully I'll be heading up to see Signius (and Maksim? Still up for it mate?) while I'm there so some gaming will be done.  That will mean that for 2003 I will have played Epic in UK, Australia and USA- a record perhaps? :D

Well being in San Diego, there should be something going on !     Those G/W players on that side of the US should find something for you to do, besides waiting for my mail ! ?:laugh:

It sounds like a pretty good record to me!

You say you played in the UK?
Was that against Mr Mark BNorfolk by chance? Bet you didnt know I knew him huh?
Well, I dont all that well, but you did happen to crop up in conversation the last time I talked to him  :D He runs the Woking games club which I went to at one time!

The major convention season is the summer, which is past, although there are a couple of fall conventions, including the Historicon ones on the east coast.

Now that is freaky...but actually, No.  I played against him here in Oz about 2 months ago when he was out here on a 3 month trip.  He brought a big case of minis over - I imagine customs would have been fun-Not  :p

I had a few games with one of the GW Shop guys in Portsmouth (where I lived for 2 years) who was the most unGW Shop guy you have ever met.  Not puishy, approachable, firendly, liked fanatic games and ran all sorts of cool stuff at the store.  He must be the "exception to prove the rule"...

Of course, I'll put you up when you come. PM or E-mails me and let me know how long. It'd be great to see you. You, I and Signius should play a big game.

I've been a little burnt out on Epic lately.

The E-A boards are sometimes more trouble than they are worth and I wanted a break.

I haven't forgotten about a few trades I need to close. I apologize for the break.

Well, anyway, it's good to be back guys. I've missed the community.

Hi!

I had a funny thought while reading this thread. We could make an "epic underground railroad" like that used to smuggle slaves out of the south so many years ago, but in this case is to give housing to wayward epic gamers who are travelling through the US and need a place to stay.

I guess I got the island of PR covered...for what thats worth... :;):
