What ever happened to white dog poo??? :{
There used to be loads of it laying about when I was young.
Now its all gone :o
So where is it? :L

Well here in the UK you used to see white dog poo laying in the street.
Then about 15 years ago it started to get rarer.
Now you only see the brown type.
So I was wondering if anyone knew what had happened to it :)

Hi!

This is funny on so many levels..... :D

I will now give this thread some weight by giving some scientific mumbo-jumbo...

White stool, known as "acolic stool" is stool that lacks the normal brown pigmentation due to lack of bililiary pigment. Thats the stuff in your gallbladder that is secreted via your intestines and excreted.

White stool is a clinical indicator or a problem with the secretion of such pigment. This may be due to a dysfunctional gallbladder, obstruction of the bile flow or damage to the part of the intestine that secretes it.

So it appears that dogs today enjoy a much better "bile health" than their predecessors, thus the rarity of white stool.

Are you sure about that theroy?
I have in from a good source that the reason white poo is no longer readily avaliable is because of goverment cut backs, which have ment local councils have had to lay-off the poo-painters that go around town every morning painting all the poop white. :;):

Hi!

The government always has something to do with everything.... :;):

In this case, the "pro-brown poop" lobby got legislation passed that  there was discrimination against brown poop, therefore funds were shunted towards better doggie diets and thus less white poop.

Which is good because white poop thought it didn't stink.... :L

My friend told me the other day that he was walking his dog and it's stool was blue! Turns out the doggie ate a crayon.

Its a shame his dog didnt have worms.
Your friend could have got it to drag its arse across some paper and draw a picture.
Ive seen simular things in the Tait-Moden Gallery in London ?:L
