You guys in the states are going to get a kick out of this, but remember Kickball? Apparently there has been adult leagues starting up around the country and it is really big in the DC area. They just started one in Tampa and tonight we play our third game. So far it has been a blast. I think it's really more about socializing and drinking beer than it is being competative, which is great since I am so out of shape, but even if you screw up, how can you take it seriously? IT'S KICKBALL!
Anyway, the organization is called WAKA, and they have a killer website you can check out:
http://www.worldkickball.com
Figure if you are even showing up to play, you are a little juvenile, so it kind of explains how everyone has a lot on common. I have tried to find a fun softball league in Tampa for years, but they are just taken too seriously and while they are competative, they aren't that much fun.
Every league is sponsored by a bar, so guess where we all pile into after the games? Usually by that time I am drunk and have pulled all my muscles anyway, but it's fun.
Anyway, check the site and see if there is a division in your area. Not all the sites have been updates, I know ours hasn't (I am in the Bayshore Division in Tampa), but geez, you pretty much already play Army-Men so I imagine some of you have to appreciate this. . .
See ya.
BTW, do you guys know about :

I imagine you do, but I never see your names there. . .

Groovy, man!
Kickball!
Who'd have imagined?
By the way, Gandalf, your site forums appear to be down.

My forums are down? I just posted there. . .
Yeah, I just checked Maksim, and it loads fine. I have heard problems where people couldn't log in to post a message, but if you check 'Track session without cookie' then it works fine. I don't know why some people have this problem and others don't. The forum is there though. If you delete you browsers temporary internet files, maybe it'll reload it. . .
