Post subject:  Northern California Air Pirates - Maksim

Well, I have been blessed that I found a local gaming group. Now, I've been doubly blessed that I recieved an E-mail and a telephone call from Rob, who wants to get some aerial combat games going a la Mustangs, Clash of Sabres, or AirPower.

I'm pretty excited since I have two shoe boxes full of 6mm aircraft that have been waiting for paint and TLC as well as another box of 6mm sci-fi fighters (Silent Death, Battletech Aerotech, some GW Ork Fighta-Bomma conversions made for Epic).

We're planning on writing an initial scenario or two for an aerial battle sometime post-1967 to 1973 Yom Kippur war. We'll probably use an Egyptian AF vs. IDF-AF (Israeli Defence Force - Air Force) scenario.

We're also planning a paint party or two as well. I always paint better when I have someone to chat with. It's harder to come up with excuses to put off the painting!

At any rate, I thought I'd mention the news as a point of interest.

Here's a link to a great air combat resource:

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
