Might be of interest to some of you; there's some new 40k computer game based on the third second battle for Armageddon. It looks sort of epic-like in some ways and they're apparently looking for beta testers to test it out. I just stumbled across it due to an article on BoLS - http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2014/08/ ... g-for.html

If I was doing stuff with this project I wouldn't be able to say anything due to current NDA clauses. But as I'm not I can say it's really, really fun. |

Signed up a few hours after it went live. I immediately got a confirmation email that I'm on the list from which they'll select the testers. Then silence. Though on their forum they say that they always start sign-ups a few weeks in advance of actually launching the beta. *Crosses fingers* |

Sounds good, I will give it a try. It's obviously a lot more like a traditional hex-based strategy game than Epic, but the universe and the scale look good. |

From the screenshots, it looks like it has some cool adjustments to the Panzer Corps engine. There seem to be elevation in play, meaning that the scale of conflict is smaller, and the Space Marines seem to be coming in "5s" instead of the usual "10s", portraying their smaller unit size. /Fredmans |
