Yes, I'm not calling for the widespread legalisation of cannabis. It has side effects on mental health particularly for young people.
I'd just like to see some proper studies carried out to determine if it can help with Crohn's Disease. It has pain relieving effects which is a major problem for me, if it did something about controlling the disease it would be doing two jobs at once. When you also take into consideration that some of the drugs used to treat Crohn's on the NHS are incredibly expensive it seems economically negligent not to look again...
Placebos are interesting. I've got athsma as well as Crohn's and although I've never had an attack for about 20 years I panic when I don't have my inhalers with me. It's a comfort thing and I have told my doctor they should give me a placebo because I'm always fine when I know I have it! They can't of course, if something did happen they'd really be in trouble!
