Agreed it's a bit strawman. In America, and many other countries, culturally engrained racism, homophobia and sexism (often fueled by abrahamic faiths as evidenced by survey findings) means some groups are more justified in making some noise, not as much as last century, but still in some contexts - e.g. marriage equity laws.

Anyway this thread probably risks violating Tac-com policy on politics etc.
