Same. Slightly misinterpreted the title and thought you had to identify/name each one, so that was surprisingly easy. Wouldn't have done very well naming them all (half?) ![]() |

I aced it too, mainly because I'm a nerd for Tanks. Is it wrong that I now want a Fox just for day to day driving? |

A tank by any other name: can you tell which vehicles are tanks? I scored 100% - can you match that? Take the quiz I thought that I would have troubles as I am an enthusiastic amateur only, but I could even tell what it was when it wasnt a tank. Surely that means I should be at least a Royal Marine General by now! ![]() |

Yes, it is an interesting quiz ! Glad to see I'm in good company ! Of course as wargamers we have a "better" appreciation for this kind of stuff. To most ... anything with tracks is a Tank. Most would even have said, the Fox A/C was a "tank" ! I showed a picture of some of the M113s from my Mech Co. to a civilian friend, and she asked is it nice inside ? ![]() ![]() |

Piece of cake. Scored 10 out of 10. I think I would have been able to identify at least half of them if I had to. |

Got them all right but could only have identified a couple. I also failed to spot the Chieftain which is a little embarrassing given that I've driven one several times. |

What about the Nashorn or Stug III, 'tank' or 'not tank'? |

Tanks have: A fully tracked chassis. A fully traversing (turretted) large caliber main gun. No capacity to carry infantry (note: in the case of the Merkava the infantry carriage is not the main role, and really the vehicle straddles the lne between an IFV and an MBT. Neither the StuG III or Nashorn have turretted main guns; therefore they are assault guns since their main guns are designed to fire directly and they are therefore not SPA. |
