| Post subject: | SG discount retailers? |
so I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any LGS websites which firstly stock, and secondly offer any kind of discount on GW specialist games (specifically epic of course) my local store (Gifts for Geeks) offer 5% off, just wondering if there are any other retailers (other than ebay shops....) that people are aware of and regularly use? |

GW don't allow any retailers to stock specialist games. The only place you can buy is their web store. |

I know Maelstrom tried to stock it when they opened their new store but despite vague suggestions they could GW changed their mind. |

I very confused about this....What stops them from just ordering it? They can special order for people right? Why can't they just "Special" Order for a bunch of "people? My only thought as why this is difficult is maybe they sell the SG games at full retail to the stores? So there no profit? Eh? |

They're allowed to stock it no problem (at least the three shop owners I talked to said as much), GW just doesn't give the usual margin though (only 30ish% off I believe). Great Canadian offers 15% off, Canadian shipping is expensive though. http://www.gc-minis.com/ |

In the UK do their own stores stock epic items or do you have to use the GW web store? |

GW webstore is the only place I know you can get stuff in the UK. |

Thanks. What an odd way for a business to operate in its home base country. Understandable in Australia where sales and distance wouldn't warrant stocking the range. I suppose it must work for them. |

Yes, the only way to get Epic here in the UK is to order it from the GW - either delivered to your door, or with less postage cost to your local GW store. I dont think that it does work for them. I just dont think that they care so much. |

I just checked with Gifts For Geeks and was told they still offer the 5% discount, but only on orders placed instore, they can't do it online.... |
