I just stumbled across this really cool Manta and thought I'd share it incase anyone else hadn't seen it:

I think it might be a W40k scale one but the colour scheme is pretty cool for a stealthed Manta (they fight in space a lot as well as planet-side and Tau have stealth-tech). Makes me wonder whether the central rippled exploding circle effect could perhaps be adapted to an Epic one though, representing a large shell hitting it's deflector shields.

huh, i thought it was a epic one before i read your post. very cool either way. i like the blue/purple fog/smoke/what ever on the edges the most. If I did my epic one up I might try some thing like this, only thing being the army probably wouldn't match this cus the effects would get lost cus the models too small.

air brush you think?

It is 40k, and i think it might have been a scratchbuild. The same guy has done several 40k tau flyers like that and some were definitely scratchbuilds.
