Hi!

I really enjoy the epic game system and I really liked the fantasy world too. So I've kind of been thinking about doing a fantasy version of epic using Warmaster minis.

Warmaster consists of stands like epic I'm sure most people know. A warmaster pack actually consists of several stands epic size anyway, so it'll be no work to use them in an epic way. Just base a single stand by itself on a 40 by 10 mm cardboard strip (so it doesn't tip).

Well and then I thought that the pendraken and other companies miniatures could come in handy too.

I can't actually figure out anything that would be in the way of doing a fantasy version of the game. It'll take a little work to make out the stats, and it'll be quite cc orientated and some Magic also needs to be worked out.

All big things like dragons and chariots could be the equilent of war engines or something.

Best thing is - the minis are already there!  :D

What I don't understand is why not just play Warmaster/BotFA?  Incidentally Mongoose (of B5 and SST fame) also makes a line of Fantasy mini-minis called Mighty Armies...cheaper then Warmaster...

Hi!

While I think warmaster is swell, the reason I never bought into it was that it wasnt 6mm.

Warmaster Ancient is superb as well.  I'm building an ancient British army. lots of warband and chariots.  Got an Ork feel to it.  Rules tweeked a bit from the fantasy I believe.
