Movies that inspire you to game.

Some friends were talking the other night and we got onto the subject of movies that inspire you to play. In the context of our discussion, it could be any game.

Here are a few of Mine:

RAN
Zulu
Ghost in the Shell
Appleseed
Blackhawk Down
Glory
Patton
Big Red One
Battle of the Bulge

My group from high school/college had several V&V superhero campaigns that ran over the course of multiple years.  A good superhero movie is by far my biggest "trigger" for wanting to game, and my son (4 years old) is a big fan of several superhero cartoons.  It's like a constant tease... :D

I second the Starship Troopers...Great for IG (or even SM) vs. Nids...

Wing Commander for BFG and spaceship combat...
LoTR (Two Towers and Return) or 13th Warrior for fantasy...

It goes in the DVD player, and I go ..........
"Boys lets go play Epic/Warmaster/BFG" and to the gaming table we go :laugh:

Godzilla and other Kaiju movies! - ALL of them!
Anything HG Wells/Jules Verne-like - especially but not limited to "War of the Worlds" and "20,000 Leagues under the Sea"
War Documentaries - especialy one with big battles like Kursk & El Alamein
Battlestar Galactica - all versions
Lord of the Rings series
Battle of the River Plate / Sink the Bismarck etc
Aliens (how did that get missed before? :p )
We Were Soldiers
The Blue Max & Dawn Patrol - great WW1 inspiration!
Guns of Navarone
Charge of the Light Brigade
