Hi all, this is the idea I brought up some time ago. I'm eager to try my hand at 28mm Victorian gaming, but I don't quite want full scale battles or role playing; and I wanted something a bit different from Necromunda: so I settled on Space Hulk, that old favourite... The idea is to base on the rules of SH 1st ed (why? because it's the one I've got!) and change the setting - the Hulk corridors will become tunnels in an underground lair - or on board an Ironclad (hi Tas!). The cast: The Good Men of the Empire: An as yet unnamed specialised elite regiment, providing companies of 10 men -these will be 40K Praetorian guard in my case. Officers of the above regt. Independent adventurers (models to be identified) Scientist (to be id-ed) Fuzzy Wuzzy and friends - local native types (including Maltese !) helping out the troops
The nutcase brigade: The Cthulthists - a cult of Cthulhu, similar to the GS cult of course - if I can get the genestealer model with tentacles in its mouth.... Cthulhu himself! (models - conversions, GS cultists with just 2 arms) Moreaux's minions - beast men of Dr Moreaux (WH beastmen, Skaven, orcs, and a few Mage Knight types) The Morlocks - from The Tme Machine - models to be id-ed Robur's raiders - human techno pirates - Van Saar types? Vampire & co. - see here! Atlanteans - elven types with great powers and (rubbing hands) - the Martians! - the bulky bear-like mass with luminous disc-like eyes (conversion), and a few mini-tripods and devices.
Now - the big issue - rules! My plans are currently twofold: i'll either use Necromunda rules, with special rules for the troops, basing them of Necro stats OR standard SH rules, modified of course for the troop types. Any thoughts, anyone? Feedback is much appreceiated.
One grand scenario would be fighting across tunnels to get to a mountai peak and capture or destroy this before it can be used. Now that's a grand model - drool!

OMG this virus I am currently suffering from must really be getting to me. One of the enginseers mad plans seems like the most brilliant stroke of genius encountered....
My vote is standard space hulk rules with modification for the troop types...

My vote is standard space hulk rules with modification for the troop types... | heh - it must have hit you real bad, then, Markconz! thanks - and I'm tending to agree with you about using the SH rules.

Hi!
I agree use the hulk rules with tailor made stats for the troops. You can add special rules for flavor as needed.
