Games Workshop's website blows donkeys. I entered 'squig' into their Search function, to which I received notice that nothing squig related was to be found or purchased.

This is clearly bullshit, since there are squigs (at crazily inflated prices) to be purchased in the Bitz section.

Did you try entering 'Squigs'?

Or failing that, 'Citadel Squig' :))

And another rant for today:

Current rumor has it that the Space Wolves will be getting a new codex this October. Oh boy! More goddam marines! Games Workshop hardly has any SM products!

It's a good thing they're updating the wolves, because the Necrons are really up-to-date with their, uh, 7 YEAR OLD CODEX. And their 7 YEAR OLD MODELS.

Pity the Dark Eldar, with their fully completed line of miniatures that GW is just sitting on, because they've decided it's not worth releasing them...

I've never seen the GW website search returning anything (on the old web site, it only returned me errors). Now no errors but no result for searches like "ultramarine, space marine, shadowsword, Necron ...".

Well to be fair to GW (I know it's a rarity) the current SW Codex is 3rd edition dating back to 2001- that makes it eight years old.

Furthermore it is the last of the SM chapter Codexes that refers back to the 3rd edition SM codex- many of the unit descriptions in SW Codex give only a points cost and refer to SM Codex for rules. There is an FAQ that updates to 4th edition SM Codex. But it is a mass of contradictions.

Whilst I agree that Necrons and Dark Eldar also need new Codexes please dont begrudge Space Wolves for their eight year wait.

Cheers

James
