Post subject:  Looking for YOUR opinion
I've been thinking of a Night Time Battle Report and wondered if this style of picture would be effective. I'm trying to emulate a night scope type view point for my next Campaign game. Does this look good or not for a battle report? Keeping in mind that it is more of a story than a play test.

Not sure which program you're using, but throw in a noise filter if you got it too. That'll make it look grainy.

Whoa, thanks lads. I never thought I would get so many replies. Truly it's no big deal, just a bit more time. I took an image and using my PC's Microsoft bog standard "Picture IT" program I first turned it black and white (Monochromatic) then I fuzzed around with the brightness and contrast making it darker and then made the colour tone green... simple.

I'll see if I can get some other effects going on for the Night Time battle report too. Flares and such.

Yeah Dave making it more fuzzy like static glitching would have been tops. I only have 2GB of free Harddrive space left on this machine so downloading anything is pointless just now. After Christmas, if I've been a good boy I should be able to free up a load of space so I can start cramming more stuff into it again.

Looks good!  But, as Dave said, a noise filter (if you're using Photoshop) can help to really make it look like you're looking through a pair of NODs.  I have a step-by-step tutorial on doing that in Photoshop bookmarked on my home computer;  I'll post the link for you when I get home.  It's pretty good for adding scan lines, noise, etc.

Oops, sorry Jav. Didn't know you had posted. I've updated with a pic I had messed some more with. Yes please, if you could post the link that would be great, thanks.

EDIT: Just realised those are hieroglyphs in the lines. My eyes are sooo shite I never knew until I double clicked the attachment. Duh!

You know... somehow, having hieroglyphs embedded in your scan lines really fits with 40K... that or runes.  Runes would be good, too.

EDIT: Yeah Jav, Glyphs in the static fits with Chaos too.  :devil:
