Any of youz guys involved in this bit of Tom-Foolery? It's nice, but I'd only consider paying this kind of money if it was pro-painted... and to real scale... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ForgeWo....%3A1318 Or Item number: 320319123973 If not then you have less than a day to start bidding... ![]() |

Well thats not a lot of money really. Not that Id pay it, but some people just have so much more money than they need... I fear a bidding Im involved in right now will come close to this. For an item of a slightly lower original retail price. And Im pretty sure Im not gonna win it, just because Im not prepared to pay these kinds of sums. Looking on the bright side: prices like these prove that epic is still alive and kicking, dont they? One thing I would never pay any money for is "pro"-painted minis. As I see it, painting them is the main reason of it all. Thats why I buy 'em. And only once or twice have I seen so called "pro-painted" minis that were actually deserving to be called so. Sorry for the negativity, have been having trouble sleeping lately. Feeling a bit grumpy ![]() |

Grump away my friend. I have worked shifts before 7 day 13 hour shifts with only two hours sleep does not a happy chappy make and insomnia is a git so I know what you mean. Try beer and if that doesn't work you can always smack yourself over the head with the bottle to get some sleep. (No! Only joking!) Yeah it's not the highest price I have seen and I get the Pro-painted point but there are some things that I regard Pro painted I have managed to sneak under the noses of the mad eBayers. That was before I had started painting things myself though. Have I ever mentioned that I can be lazy?..  ![]() EDIT: Spelling Error. Hey, Beer/Bear either might work as a sleeping cure really. One way or another. |

The sick thing is that there are only 4 bids on it. |

£77 is ridiculous. It's a nice piece of terrain, but I wouldn't even have paid the opening bid of £30. |

Ah, but say it was painted up to Onyx etc standards. Would this have tempted anyone at this price, hmm? ![]() |

Huuuuhhhh! That's the noise I make upon sudden realization. I have a cathedral already, but the auction made me realize that recreating it, or something like it, should be my goal while persuing 3D generated gothic components. |

makes me wonder if anyone does, or would do, a 6mm scale model of Notre Dame (a much nicer design anyway, makes that forge world job look quite ugly) |

I'm pretty sure that you could buy the real Notre Dame for what this auction is up to... |

Hey O-man, where'd you get your Cathedral from? As for bidding, I admit I occasionally bid on auctions where people (ex. Epicollector) are annoying me. If I want something and I see that somebody is willing to pay any amount, I make sure it is a high one by bidding it up. Of course, my motivations aren't (entirely) mean spirited. Often times these are situations where there are multiple items for sale by one person. If I can wipe out all of somebody's spending allotment on one auction I am hopeful that the same bidder will be less likely to go crazy on the next item I really want. As for this auction, I have not tinkered with it. |

I traded several Imperators to a fellow TacCommer for it. |
