Wow- just realised I've been a member here for 12 years this month, and that was after we shifted from the old server. :spin

To be fair my presence has been rather sporadic in recent years.
I blame the military again (though to be fair that nicely sponsor's my gaming habit too! ::) )

Played an awesome, 30 player war-game this week - no miniatures but LOTS of fun.
Thanks to captPiett for being part of the organising team.

This was really a fun time - and we all got paid for it, too ;D
We couldn't have done it without all the players willing to help out with the beta-testing

That was the first time in a while that I've heard widows, orphans, and a "rogue" German general all used at once as excuses for a war. But then again, Tas was his team's diplomat :P

If we had lost I would say Mea Culpa, but as it so happens... ::)

Thanks mate!

A couple of weeks ago, my Lad and I managed to get down to Lancaster PA to attend the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society's Fall-In! convention. It was a fantastic experience and we played a whole stack of different games together which was a hoot

I detailed them all here for those interested: http://tasmancave.blogspot.com.au/2015/11/fall-in-games.html
And I popped a bunch more Fall-In pics here too: http://tasmancave.blogspot.com.au/2015/11/fall-in-random-eye-candy.html

We had hoped to catch up with Mattie (aka m_folais) for an Epic game on the Thursday night but it was a longer drive than we anticipated mourned NYC so we didn't get in until very late. But that was the only real hiccup of the weekend and it certainly got the Lad fired up for non-PC gaming again which is great. I think he might be about ready for EPIC now so I can dig all my goodies out of long, long term storage when we get home early next year ;D

Thanks very much to the New England EPIC gamers for hosting my son Reilly and I on Sunday. It was great to meet the boys, including some I've "known" here for many years! Special thanks to Dave who hosted Reilly for his first game ever and Dwarf Supreme who played me in my first game of EPIC in a decade.

Big cheers also to captPiett for the lift and for letting us borrow your armies to play with.

Good times gents, thanks!

No, I haven't been waiting, but I did find some old archive pics of my epic forces when I was trying to remember what I had in inventory, and played around to make this. I'd forgotten about this nice looking Titan Battle Group - the Reaver has always been my favourite.
