Yep, up to seven non mounted infantry to a base in Epic, reguardless of what they are. Such multi character bases are often used to represent Supreme Commanders and their entourages. Bases can incidentally be as low as 3 men. I have bases for guard centred around modern fire teams of 4 men, including the missile launcher two man team. |

It is legal but the stand would still only count as 1 character ,I have come across new players who thought if they had 4 or 5 chaplains on 1 stand they could get all extra MW CC attacks and 4 or 5 inspiring bonus' . You couldn't get 2 chaplains + 2 librarians + captain stats all on 1 stand, you would have to choose to count it as only one of them or as chris has mentioned multi charactered stands usually stand out so are used for supreme commanders. You would be better to have only 1 character added into a normal stand of troops (say 4 marine figures + 1 character). |

With the exception of my supreme commander, I just have 1 character per stand. The SC has a captain, standard bearer and apothicary. |

The bottom line here is that an infantry base can have between 3 and 7 figures on it, and that it should be identifiable on the table as to what it is. What those figures are and how you represent the individual units in the force list are up to you. Obviously, there are 'standards' for representation, and a character pack includes a number of individuals including Chaplains and Librarians which are normally added to a stand of normal Marines to represent these upgrades. However, there are also individuals such as the banner bearer which can be added anywhere you like. If your stand has between 3 and 7 figures and your opponent is clear about what it actually is in the game, that is fine. I usually prefer an interesting stand, even if it is a bit unusual. |
