Post subject:  Capitolis Imperialis?

Hi, I just registered now and this is my first post. My apologies if this has already been discussed in another thread or if I posted it in the wrong place.
I have a Capitolis Imperialis and I really like to be able to use it with my blood angels in EA. So far I only saw stats in NetEpic and I wondered if anybody has worked out them for EA.
TIA

There have never been official stats.  The CI was in early versions of the playtest list for Steel Legion IG but it was dropped when it became impossible to get a revised model into production.  IIRC, it made a brief reappearance in the AMTL list but was cut from it as well (for stylistic reasons, I think).  The stats were a cross between the old CI concept and the Leviathan concept.  They received little playtesting before being removed and most people think they have some substantial issues.  I'm sure there is a fan list or two that has attempted to update the rules.

What I have is:
0-1 CI: 500 pt.

CAPITOL IMPERIALIS (Armageddon Pattern)
<<< The Capitol Imperialis is an immensely well protected mobile HQ. It is usually garrisoned by own its own company of Imperial Guard troops. Void shields, thick armour and sturdy construction make it resistant to enemy fire, while the garrison and dozens of internal and external defence systems make it very difficult to assault.>>

Type Speed Armour Close Combat Firefight
War Engine 10cm 4+ 6+ 5+

Weapons: 1 Behemoth Cannon (F), 1 Battlecannon (LF), 1 Battlecannon (RF), numerous automated defence systems (ADS)

Weapon Range Firepower
ADS (15cm) Close Combat Weapons and/or Small Arms, first strike
Behemoth Cannon75cm 6 BPs, Indirect Fire
Battle Cannon 75cm AP4+/AT4+

Notes: Supreme Commander. Damage Capacity 10. 5 void shields. Transport (may carry 3 Chimera or Salamanders, and up to twenty of the following units: Imperial Guard units: Supreme Commander, Commander, Infantry, Storm Troopers, Fire Support, Snipers, Ogryns, Sentinels). Up to ten transported stands may shoot with ranged weapons or use their firefight or close combat values in an assault. Reinforced Armour. Thick rear armour. Immune to panic.

Critical Damage: Internal explosions cause an extra point of damage and inflict hits on D6 transported units (attacker's choice as to who is hit).

Many thanks nealhunt, this is something solid to start with. Although I've always thought CI as a mobile HQ for the marines, not for IG...

Since there are no rules for the Capital Imperialis for Epic Armageddon, just go ahead and send me yours.  Since I play Space Marine 2nd Edition.

I think he was making a joke, asking you to send him the CI model. Yet another person foiled by ambiguous pronouns and/or reference to subject/object.

SG should have reached out to the people on eBay who are making their own casts - er, I mean finding old OOP CI models and put them up for sale every week. :p

Would've been nice with an updated Ci... Too bad it was cut. It is also a shame that we never saw any production versions of the Steel Legion pattern Salamander that was pic of the Day on the SG site for a while... Unfortunately the image was lost last time my pc crashed but does anyone have the pic anymore?

Salamanders were originally intended as part of the company HQ for most Steel LEgion companies. I can't remember anymore if they were cut due to budget reasons or it was simply because they were considered unnecessary.

It's been a long time so I can't quite remember if it was closed topped like the rest of the Steel Legion armoured vehicles however some hunch tells me it was. Again would be interesting and give extra character to the Steel Legion models where only the Basilisk looks any different from the standard IG units.

Umm, I had it but I seem to have mislaid it somewhere. And of course called it something other than salamander. As far as I know its still on the site somewhere hidden in a folder.
