Hi there,

I am new to the boards and determined to pick up my epic army and have some fun with like minded players!

I like to play for the fun of a good game and I am looking to expand my gaming circle. There are only a few players that I know and the more variety the better.

These boards seem home to a select group of reasonable sound folks! Hence the query!

For those that care I have a Marine army (legion of the damned) and I am starting work on an eldar one at the moment.

I used to play the old space marine way back at the dawn of time (or so it sometimes feels). Although I have to say even though I have only played a handfull of games I do love EA!

So any folks out there? Or are there any reccomended touraments closer to the scottish border that are worth going to next year?

Woudl be cool to get to know folks on the boards and meet up at a tournament or two!

Cheers all!

P.S. I like the boards, keep up the good work!

That sounds good, there are about 3 of us who play or are interested in playing.

I think we are due to try and strat up a once a month thing in November.

At least that is the plan as it stands. We have a place to play at glasgow's queen margaret union. On a saturday morning.

Can you travel at all?

I was thinking of setting up a mimi campaign, there was some general support for that idea when I mentioned it to folk.

What sort of stuff do you have?

What sort of style fo games do you like? You up for capaign stuff, or just straight tournament games?

cool, if I get the campaign details sorted I can post them here for you, or email them to folk. Whatever you prefer.

I will then give plenty of notice for those who are intrested. I would guess that the first date will probably be 3rd November. At the QMU in Glasgow.

I will get some details together. The more the merrier. If we get enough interest we could make a day out of it. ?

Right, off to work on the campaign then. I will get writing stuff up next week.

Cheers all

P.S. badly typed attempts at mimicing a scots accent is only mildly amusing! Once is funny, twice is naghty and three times is a smack! ?:)

A campaign sounds excellent, I'd use Orks but I'm a bit of a newb at this Armageddon lark (was a Space Marine player back in the day) so hopefully you'll go gentle.

QMU sounds good, we could also get together for a game at the G3 club on Tuesdays

Couldn't do first weekend in Nov though, off to the WPS Fantasy GT down in Nottingham.

I can't make Tuesdays as I always roleplay on a tuesday night.

How about we make a start date in January, give everyone time to brush up on rules, get armies organised.

It will also give me plenty of time to write stuff and make sure I have scenery and my own armies sorted!

I have the previsional details of the camapign ready.

The battle for Vorus VII.

I have a Space Marine Player so far
Myself as the Eldar player

I require;

Imperial Players.
Ork Players.
or Additional Eldar players.

The camapign will be played on a 25 sector map with different objectives for each faction.

Imperial and Marines on the same side, but with different objectives.

The sectors are a mixture of 4' square and 6' by 4' boards.

If you are interested please post the army you would like to play and the max points you can field at any time.

Hi, I can field orks or IG but I wont be able to commit to a full campaign, particularly come january.  Are you planing to have friendly matches too?

definately plan just to have a few friendlies along the way. The campaign will only be once a month on a saturday morning.

With us doing friendlies when we can all fit them in on saturdays.

I am pretty busy myself, which is why I can only commit to once a month.

So just let me know whenever you are free on a saturday and I would be happy to play.

I have only played about 5 times with the new rules so I need the practice!
