I reckon that Epic:A (Epic 4th edition) is the most common, especially if you're after pick-up games.

Tournaments / competitions aren't really my thing, but if you're interested in them then IIRC all of the Tournaments held in the UK are played under Epic rules, rather than NetEpic.

Thats fair enough, Ive bought the EA rule book and am reading through that and im sure it'll be ok, but i really don't like the amry list, I much prefer the old system with the cards.  I like 4 nob stands 15 boys few battlewagons, bunch of support vechile and a couple of gargants...

As Dave's posted, EpicArmyCard.com is great for those who prefer a card system... it's fully compatable with Epic:A.

Hi Twenty,

Haven't actually played WI yet as he has just moved up here and I've just moved as well. However, we do plan to meet up, prob at mine and get some games in. I play EA version of the rules as I like to go to some of the tournaments.

Have a look at the Open War 8 thread, you might not feel like taking part, although you'll probably know the rules better than me, but you are in easy reach for a trip out to see some games in action.

WI = Wargame_Insomniac the person :)

You'll fit right in, we have guys from uni's come over for a game ranging to more mature gentlemen who like to play and sometimes take your army apart piece by piece.
