It looks like this Thursday may have a game as well. Thursday is Veteran's Day (WWII and other war memorial day) in the USA.
Vince wants to get a Full Thrust starship game going.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

You're not alone, Maksim... stress has been a norm in my life lately. So hang in there and drive on!
We're in this together!

Maksim, I guess this is one of those moments when you really wish you could get Terminator armour - pity E-bay doesn't sell these (or do they?). Hang in there old* man. *'old' as in 'wise'.

Quote (MaksimSmelchak @ 10 2004 Nov.,07:09) | .... mostly a lot of "feel-good" talk and little to nothing useful. | Hay that sounds like 99% of all the meeting I have ever attended in my whole life.
I just LOVE my job!

Hi!
I wish I had meetings like that. Mine are about who gets chemo or radiation therapy and how long are they going to live....
...I could use some "feel good" conferences....

I'm feeling much better today. Having a day off helps. I caught up a ton of paperwork yesterday and found out that some of my colleagues are in similar situations.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Romulkans vs. UN Space Fleet - Vince's Space Game AAR:
We played a Full thrust game using customized house rules and two fleets:
- UNSF fleet with five ships: three dreadnoughts, 1 battletship and a cruiser.
VS.
- Romulan Fleet with three ships: x1 Large Romulan ship (probably BB) and x2 medium Romulan ships (Probably cruisers).
The Romulan fleet predictably cloaked and got the drop on the UNSF fleet which was in a wagon wheel protecting a planet from invasion. The Romulans decloaked to launch plasma torpedoes at the UNSF flag ship and nearly destroyed it with just the plasma torpedos. Their follow-up phaser fire destoryed the UNSF flag ship. UNSF return fire consisted of four missile volleys, five fighter strikes and a large amount of laser fire which claimed the large Romulan ship and nearly damaged the other two (their higher-tech shields held). After that, the Romulans fled and both players learned some new lessons as well as turning out some new playtest data for Vince (the host).
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

We still had time left for a game and played a 3-player "Sword of Rome."
The Estrucans / Samnite alliance decisively won, soundly defeating the Greeks and me, the Romans. It was a sad loss with the Greeks and Romans losing every single dice roll and being widely victimized by the random event Gauls (In a 4-player game, the Gauls become a PC, but in a 3-player game, they become a random event NPC).
It was a fun game, but I can't wait to actually stand a chance in "Sword of Rome." The odds have been against me in both games.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.
P.S. The game is from a company called GMT which does good stuff.
