So, what does this mean for the Necron list? ?I checked with Corey today and he gave me the green light to say...
The Warbarque will be on the next version of the Necron list. ?I have no stats as of right now but here is what I can tell you-
1. It will not be a flyer. ?It will be a skimmer war engine.
2. It will have a portal function like the Abattoir and Monolith.
3. Hints about living metal.
4. Corey will be kicking something out "soon".

So, this will be my next project: finishing up the unveiled Warbarque. ?There is not much left to really do on it if the new resin works well. ?Once I can get the bubbles out of the piece it will be fine. ?Then it is just the finishing touches that are left. ?With that said, I think I could probably make about a half dozen copies from the one mold... :)

Comments?

Noooo! I was supposed to make a warbarque and live forever in fame and Necron love! D'oh.

So, casting issues, eh?  ???

Well, yes.  The casting issues may go away though - it depends on the new Smooth-on resin.  I got a low viscosity resin that should reduce/eliminate the bubbles.  Right now the Warbarque appears to have run through heavy flak :p with all the bubbles.

I would have done it today but I've been working on an entirely different project-
TAXES   :glare:

But re-pouring the Warbarque will be the first thing I do once the taxes are done.  I will post and let y'all know what has come of it.

You can still make a Warbarque though!  Mine isn't the first.  I saw somebody make the Skeletor-version of it a while back and there may be others.  It was too small for my tastes, but otherwise a good attempt.  And if you have a Necron army (or are planning on building one) I would certainly enourage the effort.  I plan on including pics of mine in the new Epic Supplement we're working on, but it could certainly use some company.

Of course if anyone is feeling lazy I have a couple of bubble ridden ones that I could trade away. PM me.  A little green stuff here and there and it would be good as new (well, as new as the Necron can be :p ).

Agreed!  The colors on that Ironbreaker AV are stunning!  May I ask what you painted it with?

Old Stormhammer Chassis with some bits added from a 1/700th IJN Cruiser :)

Undercoat of Chaos Black, first "wetbrush" of Forest Green (don't know if this is still a GW colour...its' a fairly old pot), then a drybrush of 50% FG with Skull White, and a edging brush of near pure white.

OK, still no goo covered infants, but I did finish some guns and a blimp.

Still working on the base for the Overlord, and no top coats yet.  I'm out of matt varnish and CB undercoat so I need to stock up.  Only the Cyclops and Guild Bikers to go....this race thing is cool.

I just love the colors on those guns.  Subtle enough to avoid offending the eye but bright enough to catch it.
