Amazing work :agree:

I was going to ask if you were using Photoshop or Painter, but then i actaully thought for a second and used the search function

So i see that you've used both, Which do you prefer/use most now?

Cheers! Sorry I've been so slack in replying!

I prefer Photoshop. I've experimented with Painter but find that although it's good for painterly work, it's not good enough for clean artwork that I prefer.

This is my first paid commission piece! :)

The brief was to paint an aristocrat carrying a pistol and wearing light armour, very similar to my Van Saar pic with a tudor-style feel to his clothes.

I apologise for the small size of the image and watermark, thats part of the contract agreement.

Hey Stug, been months since I've looked in this thread, I'm very glad to see that you're still producing your brilliant illustrations!

The Necromunda gangers are amongst your best work to date

Cheers sir! :)

I'm really chuffed with how the Necro gangers came out. They were an exercise in anatomy study.

Gongrats for commission job, stug. However I must comment on two things.

Lighting. I assume that there is two light sources on this, behind the person and other side of corner. If this is the case the bodys colouring doesn't quite seem to follow them. Front seems to have too much light for that.

Head. Is it too big ?

But hopefully you get more commissions as the gangers were really awesome.

Cheers Hena!  :D

I think that I might have overdone the lighting on the skin a tad. Flesh is one of the most difficult things to paint, especially trying to get the colour right.

The head does look slightly big, however the perspective of the chap is from slightly on high. He's leaning forwards so his legs and feet will look smaller and foreshortened in comparison to his head. T'was a difficult perspective to work with.

I've got quite a few commissions lined up with this client.  8v)

I just finished this pic as a commission for someone. He'd basically asked for an image showing a Rhino with Space Marine Transports in the background dropping off more elements.

So here it is! It's taken me about 8 hours all told.

Rhino Deployment

This is my second paid commission piece! :D The brief was to paint a High Guard Sergeant, posing as the hero that the government see him as.

This was a really fun and challenging piece of artwork to do - the mirrored armour was great to get to grips with! :)

I apologise once again for the small size of the image and watermark, thats part of the contract agreement.
