Chances are the Chaos vehicle moulds... if in fact they were actually made in the first place... were pitched with the rest of the E40K era moulds due to space concerns.

However as long as you have the master copies of the miniatures whether or not you have the moulds is entirely irrelevant since you can always make more moulds off said masters.
Which frankly either means he just got confused and said moulds instead of masters or something else is going on entirely... like they can't be arsed to put the metals out until they see how the plastics sell as has already been suggested in the thread.
To be honest though my guess is they've misplaced the masters as they were never production models to start with. Chances are they're still lurking somewhere in the studio/office rather than having been archived with the rest of the production masters when they shut the E40K line down.
