Hmm, I think if anything the warlords and emperors would get smaller with me around :)

Not if you wanted to:
And something I've love to do at every step - make the damn scale the same!!!

If you scale the Titans to the Vehicles and Troops then the Titans would get quite a bit larger.  :;):    :p

You mean it depends on if you want to change the fluff and say the Titans have different sizes, right?

The scale would not matter if you made all of them the same then the Titans would be larger when set next to the vehicles, right?

So if you are saying a Titan would be only 60ft then you are changing the size of the Titan not the scale, right?

Man I am just too tired to be sure I understand what you are saying. These 2 hour sleep nights are not good for me.  :80:

I rather like the Titans being the size they are (as it happens a Warlord is almost exactly 100 feet tall under the current scaling). The Warhound is around 50-60 feet high, Warlord is around 100 and the Reaver is in the middle between them. I WOULD love to see 1/300th scale Warlords, though. That'd be awesome. Even if it would be impractical (They'd be about half the height of the FW Warhound at that point, 6 inches tall or so) to make them. Though i don't think it'd be that bad, really. They already produce models in that size-range for 40K scale for $40-$50 (Tanks, especially. These things would be smaller then Land Raiders even at 1/300th scale, and Raiders cost around $55 per model, so I doubt a warlord would  be more then $60-$70 even accounting for it being a 'solid' model while the Land Raider isn't.) Admittedly this might encounter some vision issues, but it'd be awesome to see! I've been rather tempted to try and make 1/300th scale titans, on occasion, but I'm really not sure where I'd begin.

i was just kicking around the idea of making a scratchbuilt titan force(cause im crazy and our student book store decided that they were going to sell sytrene anymore and i got like a full display case full for FREE) so i will make a to scale titan...only problem would be the basing it might unbalance the titan(huge firefight support radius)

That might be an issue. But I doubt it, given how big it is it'd be easy to see for almost anyone, as it should be. The ability to assist firefights at longer range is probably OK when you consider that there's not going to be ANYTHING on the board, basically, it can hide behind. Not may boards have terrain large enough to hide things 6" tall and probably 2-3" wide after all. It might be a bit of an issue... But I'd just love to see (and own) a model like that.

maybe is better to rewrite all the fuff and take the minis that we want   :D .

I think that GW is not needed to the epic maintenance, because:

1.-we have minis ( DRM, DP9, etc...)
2.-we have the best communication form, the net ,and a cheapest format ( PDF, word, txt)...it's free!!
3.-we have our imagination.
4.-we have a generic rules (netepic, E:A, etc) the two sets are free

We only need our own universe, it will be richer than GW epic universe.

We don't need GW or to buy epic, we need our imagination to build/write what we want.

Why we want the released exodites when we can take a full reptilian army.

I think that now we can say to GW :
"we don't need you. Gw need us!!"

I don't want the epic universe I want all the universe!!!

bans

PS: yes yes and then I will conquer the world!!!

:p

Amen to that.  Summs my feelings up neatly.

Too bad GW doesn't see it that way.

I do agree with your overall sentiment, bans. We don't need GW for epic to survive, as NetEpic has proven. However, partially for nostalgic reasons, I would like to have the archives reinstated, with all OOP minis available.

Well, 6mm is basically 1 foot/30cm/300mm = 1mm or 1/300 scale.

So marines should be 7 1/2mm tall (7 foot tall plus 1/2 foot for armour etc).
Imperial Guard should be 6mm tall (5'10" plus helmet and boots).
Eldar should be banned and so on.

So if you top of the range warlord was 100 feet tall thats 10cm 'to scale'.

How big do you want it?
Go to the nearest collection of tall buildings, see how many stories each class should be and multiply by 10 feet.

Well, 6mm is basically 1 foot/30cm/300mm = 1mm or 1/300 scale.

This is OK for guess work, but keep in mind that 1/300th scale and the GW 6mm is not the same thing.

Here is the break down as I understand it from small to large:

1/300th = 5.4mm
1/285th = 5.6mm
6mm = 1/268th
1/220th (Z Scale) = 7mm
1/160th (N Scale) = 10mm

They will work in some cases, but in others, the differances would be obvious.

As for the Titan, I think in that case, the differance of the three scales (6mm, 1/285, 1/300) will not be large enough to worry, but doors etc might be obvious.
