Narnia's a pretty good flick, just remember that it's written by the greatest Christian apologist ever, and has kids as the main characters. It's a good flick to bring the little ones to (took a friends 10 year-old daughter to Narnia this weekend, and the 'Munchkin' loved it).

I'm not sure I'd call C.S. Lewis a Christian apologist and I personally think he had one of the healthiest views of Christianity in his generation.
And I'll give C.S. Lewis a lot of credit for putting his Chrsitianity into practice far more than many of the "mouth pieces" did from his generation. C.S. Lewis visited children's hospitals and spent his money in "Make A Wish" foundations long before that organization became well known.
One of my favorite books of his is a collection of letters he wrote to children. Very touching.
On the other hand, some of the aspects of his personal life can be revolting.

I also really want to see it.
Give me C.S. Lewis and "The Lion, the Witch And the Wardrobe" anyday over J.K. Rowley and "Harry Potter."
As a side note, everyone should check out his Penumbra "space" series. Great books and not very well known.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

My Dad keeps pushing me to read his 'Screwtape Letters', and only my natural disinclination to do what he suggests is keeping me from reading them.
So, how was everyone's Christmas/holiday of choice?
Mine was outstanding. Went over to a friend's place, had an incredible 'graze' for the midday meal (2 kinds of Caviar, smoked salmon, cold-smoked pork tenderloin and bacon, etc.) and then sat down to a 3 course Christmas dinner (emu kabobs, lamb steaks, and roast pork tenderloin, lobster bisque...). My presents went over outstandingly well (I got the same tone of voice as the 'it comes in pints?! on one of them, and told a little story about the another), but I'm a little concerned... my buddie's wife (the one who cooked that wonderful feast) gave me a copy of the Necronomicon. There's something disturbing about a book who's first two chapters are warnings to not read, and I keep trying to pick it up and read it at night.
L4, do I need to start the OPLAN back up for 'tactical persuasion' of the big man, or are you happy with what you got?

Hi!
It was great as a parent. The kids were most happy.
Personally, I was kinda pissed since the Quake 4 my wife got me was defective. I went and got another copy, but still, it was irksome.

Well,
We had a nice 38 degree day here in Oz, so everyone was a little to hot to get too excited. My little friend enjoyed his new train set and my wife was happy with her new Ipod. I was accused of being hard to buy for and received cloths, books and a pen set. We had a family breaky B&E on the BBQ with all the good gear to go with it. The family dissapeared aroud elevenish and we had a quiet day. All in all, a good day, new house has aircon and it works well.
Cheers CAL

It's 45 Degrees F, overcast, gray and muddy with clumps of dirty snow ...

L4, OPLAN's prepped, team and support are ready. I need an hour's warning prior to Wrath of God TOT.
Send the boys in first, or as cleanup?
