Gotta be happy to have engineered "Bladerunner" into your 4000th post :)

Yeah, a happy coincedence.  :)

Scoff if you will, but I am really looking forward to Pirates of the Carribean 3.  #1 was alright but #2 was a lot of fun.  Parts of it were downright hilarious.

And #3 is supposed to have Keith Richards as Jack Sparrow's father!  Perfect  :p

Hi Guys,

I rented Doom and Aeon Flux a week or so ago and...

BOTH stunk.

Shabbat Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

I guess that it depends on perspective. I have heard a few negative comments on the arrival of 300, but those are mainly from the ancient wargamer crowds.

That would be me

This movie will almost certainly be intensely annoying.

If you are going to make a movie about a historical event why not stick to what happened - it is not like it needs any embellishment?  :D  Can't homosexual patriarchal slavers be heroes for a day too?  :;):  And lets not forget all the other Greeks who died alongside the 300.

Unlike most people, I did like 'Alexander' by Oliver Stone, though it took a few artistic liberties. The Battle of Gaugamela was fantastic.

If it sticks anywhere close to the comic it's based on (And I expect it shall... lots of shots from the trailer are lifted directly from the ink pages and re-created in celluloid), then the other Greeks get their moments to shine too.

The aim of this film, like the move version of 'Sin City', is that the shots are exactly as the panels are drawn on Frank Miller's graphic novel.

Aye, this is not a film for people looking for historical accuracy, but for people who want a film with lots of pretty visuals and rump-kicking action  :D
