Does anyone have a pic of the steam gargant next to previous gargant models. I'm thinking about just using it as a regular gargant.

I don't have a gargant-gargant comparison pic, but there are plenty of pics with other models in it for scale. In Swordwind there is a picture with an infantry stand in front of it that clearly shows it is more than 40mm wide. It's at least gargant sized if not great gargant.
Given the size in that picture and the overall construction it may be that a sculptor used the old MkIII or MkIV great gargant as a base and resculpted it for the steam gargant model. OTOH, it might just be that they like the III/IV and thought that the style was more appropriate for a steam gargant so they copied it.

Yes, the S/Gar looks like the size of a Slasher ... Can't wait to get it ! Worked on my F/Ork Warband Template (SM1) ... will have Doug post with others in the future !

I think you're right Neal.
My guess is that the gargant on page 45 of Swordwind is actual size so it is somewhat bigger than a Shasher but still slightly smaller than a Great Gargant.

So, more or less the same size...a little less tall but wider and broader, no choice in weapons unlike the normal Gargant, quite nice and strangely seems more technologically up-to-date than the normal, it has tracks afterall 
Love the Truks, especially the steam one (there's 3 of each in the pack) but to be honest I'm not that impressed with the boyz.

I suspect with the weapons on it that the overall impression would be somewhere between the size of a gargant and a great gargant.
