Hi guys,

I've started working on a new pic after doing lots and lots of doodles trying for some inspiration! Stay on Target

Anyway, here's a current WIP. This is 30mins in so far. The pic is basically gonna be Imperial Thunderbolts attempting to bomb an Ork Gargant. I'm thinking lotsa flak and shots in the air and debris from the various impacts to Gargant and Thunderbolt. Trying to go for a Fairy Swordfish versus the Bismark kinda thing?

Stay On Target


Imperial Fighter Bombers make a desperate attack on the Ork Gargant Deth Smasha during the battle for Bismark Pass. Although the aircraft failed to destroy the Gargant, they did succeed in damaging its steering mechanism, thus allowing the Imperial Knights to encircle and knock it out later in the battle.

Nice work that is really starting to get there.

Epic- A version of the game with even smaller models that is often dominated by titans which are vehicles the size of a large building and have the ability to pwn...everything. There is also infantry, whose only function in Epic is to provide valuable traction to Titans walking across snowy paths.

Very nice work.  I can't believ that I have missed this for so long.  I think my favorites so far are the savage regimnt and warlock blowing up the tank, simple because they are 40K pictureswith flowering plants in the grass.  Such a contrast between the destructive force and tranquility that you expect from a picture with flowers.

I do try to go for imagery that is slightly different from the 'norm' of 40K.

I think we've all seen enough ruined cityscape, muddy trenches and cratered landscapes.  :)

Here's my latest pic. I've been lacking in inspiration lately but someone (Chaos and Evil) threw an idea my way and it kinda reignited my skills!

Anyway, here's a WIP. I'm hoping to start colouring at the weekend. As you can see it's just the composition that I'm trying to nail at the mo.
