Yep. Old news, I am afraid. Harridan made it, then got recalled. ?:(

Any more info you can give us newcomers re: the Harridan?

The Harridan was actually recalled about a year ago, which is recent in Epic terms. FW made one thatwas released for quite a while and then withdrew it. I managed to pick up a couple (two of the last six ever in stock!) and spoke to FW. They said that it was being recalled primarily because there was not Tyranid structure for it - FW did not produce any other Tyranids in Epic, AI wasnt even a thought back then, so it just sat out on its own with no real reason for it to exist (from a FW stand point). The FW guy did say that it was likely to return at some point in the future (although just how far was anyones guess) but that if/when it did it would be re-designed.

That's an odd excuse, considering how they have Chaos flyers and nothing else.

Oh well. It's their toy, and if they don't want to sell it, they won't get any money for it.

I spoke with Warwick Kinrade about whether or not Tyranids would fit in AI... he said he couldn't justify them (They'd just be stationary targets for the entire game), so the Harridan wasn't re-released with AI.

It'll be re-released when the SG Tyranids are re-released. :)

I wish they release the Nid sprue soon, ?7+ for one on ebay... it's getting tempting to sell mine if I wasn't so keen to continue with my Tyranid Project (although working on Blood Angels at the mo  :(  )

I was so thoroughly annoyed when I got halfway through my Nid army went to do my next FW order and then discovered the Epic Tyranid section had disappeared in the few weeks since my last visit....... why didn't I just buy one earlier?

Now I am stuck trying to use flying rippers and they are really fiddly to put together.

I'm planning on building my Harridan using the Morathi Pegasus wings and a gaunt body as base. With my usual luck the Harridan will probably go back on sale just as I've finished my own version :S

In that case, I strongly encourage you to do this.
