Alright things I will need for Epic: Advanced Training article are:
Proxy Cutouts For Scenario 2.3.1 Red & Green (based on those from SG) 4 Land Raiders 5 Land Speeders 1 Tactical Commander stand (modified tactical stand) 1 Dreadnaught For Scenario 3.4.1 1 Great Gargant 1 Devastator Command stand 2 Communication objective makers For Scenario 4.5.1 4 Ork Fighta-Bommers 3 Imperial Thunderbolts 3 Hydras 3 Basilisk For Scenario 4.5.2 1 Thunderhawk 4 Terminator Stands 2 Ork Fighta-Bommers
I am looking for suggestions for these and any comments that you may have for providing players with these. I want to be able to offer the reader the opportunity to try out the whole of the system before purchasing an army.
To go along with this some color shots of the formations/armies involved in the scenarios, if you have everything and some terrain to do it on a posed shot of part of a scenario. I can cover most of the Imperial items, but I do not have any of the Ork stuff at the moment so that is where I would primarily need help. Others are welcome to provide any shots they have. Something other than my minis provide variety.

nice article, maybe in the "Epic: Advanced Training article" you could put in part of a battle report and explane the tactics behind the moves made?

Well I got Epic: Advanced Training done and need your inputs again. I am pretty sure that Epic: BT made it in to Firebase 4 alongside one of Hena's batreps so that will be good for people to see.
At present I have all the Imperial stuff for picture taking, but atm lack an assembled Gargant and 6 Fightas (have 4 Fightas for AeroImp) to include in pics for the article.
Here is the article.

Looking good
I can snap a few pics of those ork models for you tomorrow.
A regular Gargant or a Great Gargant BTW? And does it matter if they've been converted a bit?
Not to be a complete threadjacker but I made these pics for the cover of NetEpic Gold. Feel free to use them if you think they are fitting. Although the deployment certainly isn't very tactically sound I still think it captures the potential grandeur of Epic, which to me at least is a major selling point over 40k

Here's a slightly less photoshopped version as well...
Although it is intended for NetEpic Gold I think this is a god cause: Whatever can be done to promote Epic is a good thing IMO
For the record: That's 1 chapter of Smurfs and about 10k of Greenskins not counting the Gargants.

Standard Garagant since that is what is used in the scenario. That pic will work really well for the 3rd and final article - Epic: Beyond Training - I think. I like the photoshopped one.

I really like the photoshopping youve on on that picture- its very impressive.
How do you get the glow effects? I notice alot of the effects are on originally bright yellow areas of the guns- Is it by using the dodge/burn tool (cant remember which highlights) or is there a different technique you use?

(Warmaster Nice @ Jan. 10 2007,16:37)
QUOTE Actuall I think someone did an Origami Gargant a while back... Maybe this is a litte late to be of use.
Link for Origami Gargant (says only 25% done though, but looks vaguely usable), Thunderbolts(75%), drop pods. Also SM Landraiders, Dreads, Landspeeders are included on the training scenario proxies, which also look nicer then the SG ones, and are 3D ish. http://www.brothersdigital.com/~csmith/epic/models.html
More... The ones I looked at were small jpg's but include plenty SM and IG units types: http://the_fifth_horseman.w.interia.pl/EAdownloads.html
I haven't tried any myself.
If anyone wants card buildings to go with http://www.lordsofthebattlefield.com/fo ... hp?t=16673 http://sarna.net/files/index.php/media/cardstock http://www.dp9.com/Funhouse/Aids_HG.htm
Again, I haven't used these, as I have plenty of genuine epic card buildings, but some do look as good as those old ones (apart from the roof).
Good luck with your 1:1 wargamer to epic conversions!

Article looks good, and the pictures are impressive, definately shows off what Epic is all about!
Possibly a bit premature, but a few of us at our club (Cross Games Club) are about to start a Tale of 4 Gamers specifically for Epic. The idea is to blog it and get some articles made for SG News/Firebase/Forums. If all goes according to plan should begin next week!
