er - ok - arrived late at night, plane take-off had been delayed by a leaky galley tap, missed the station, ended up in a 'station' (well 2 platforms) in the middle of nowhere, worked back to the Univ, discovered that the XRD I wanted to use was out of order, spent a night (1900 to 0700) working on an SEM, slept 2 hours, returned to work, came back to the hotel at 2 in the morning on Sunday.... as for the battle:

The moorhens deployed centrally, close to the bridge; the seagulls took to the air in turn one. At the end of turn one the moorhens had captured at least two objectives. The gulls turned the tables in turn two, heavily outnumbering the moorhens, and captured 4 objectives this turn only! A single duck reinforced the moorhens in this turn, but in turn three, a whole gaggle teleported, quacking, onto the field - er, lake -  and commenced a fantastic battle royal over the remaining objectives. The moorhens retreated discretely, and the game ended up a tie between the gulls and ducks. The swans never turned up - pity.

The apple turnover objectives MUST have been good.....

Thanks Firestorm - and congrats on demolishing Megabomma in the titan finals, by the way     :p

I should also say that no animals were injured in the writing of this battle report, although the poor apple turnover was totally demolished....
