What about the old models? The old orks for Epic, and the old plastic Goffs for 40K CC - they're probably quite easy to find.

Although you picked orks (and a great choice IMHO) I wanted to speak up here and say something.
You don't have to go whole hog wild chaos in order to use the list. I play my chaos army as Renegades more than "Worship the Dark Gods!" type of marines. As such, I avoid almost all daemons and cult troops yet the list still fields a competitive force. Fewer skulls and spikes too. These Renegades are more about power, material wealth (including slaves) and hurting the Imperium than they are about worshipping Nurgle or whatever.

The BT pics you posted, IIRC ... would make great Ork stuff for the most part ! Had to control my buying urges !  Maybe some Squat/Demi (?!) stuff there too ! As fro GZG, their infantry is good as I mentioned before as well as AFVs. Plus I'm hoping in '06, Jon will do the 6mm Slammers he e-mailed me about !

That actually find that to be interesting. If you don't mind telling how to you make your army, either 40K or Epic?
I always assumed that the strenght of the "Chaos" list was their deamonic hordes.
