When would you like me to supply the graphics we have been talking about a few months ago?

Well I want to start with one vanilla race, just to get the system running before adding the next two races to test special rules.
If you don't mind, I ideally need the following units, at the moment I am using a 50x50 pixel graphics system, with a long BMP comprised of 50 x 50 tiles (I can send you a template).
Infantry (grunts with guns) Support Infantry (with more heavy weapons) Elite Infantry (grunts with guns, but just a tad more talented) Mech. Infantry (stats for the vehicles are included in the unit stats currently so inf + carriers are one unit) Armour (tanks) Artillery (any kind of long ranged barrage weapon) Recon Vehicle Infantry Fighting Vehicle optimised for an anti-personal role Infantry Fighting Vehicle optimised for an anti-tank role
Cheers dude! Mucho appreciated

I guess top down would be ideal, but the problem there is, would we lose the detail? Whatever you think looks best, as long as it is in a 50x50 icon .

I assume some smaller ones are acceptable too?
What color is interpreted as transparency?

The graphic itself needs to be 50 x 50, however the program doesn't care how much of it is transparent, so you only need use part of the available space.
I use magenta as my transparency colour of choice.

Uh-huh.
So it cannot be smaller then 50x50, correct?
Magenta colour... #FF00FF... happens that it is used for transparency by almost everyone...

Nope - I will send you a template, the .BMP will eventually be a collection of 50x50 'tiles' with one BMP for each army and a certain number of slots.

I don't get what do you mean by this.
Oh, and how many troops should be present on a single "tile"?

Got the template now. I presume that vehicles also should fit within these limits? Because, IMO, the vehicles should get bigger size, while infantry smaller ones. Maybe make this 4 BMP files, one for Infantry, one for Vehicles, and the two others for Aircraft and War Engines respectively.
Oh, and what color palette? 8 or 24 bit?
