L-4s just your friendly neighbourhood hero :)
I say it's Space Hulk (again) complete with 3-D corridors in plastic.

heh, knowing GW, it might just be a re-release of last year's Space Hulk with no changes. It'll be limited edition, one more time!

If it is Warhammer Quest, I hope they include an updated roll playing book that includes stuff that wasn't in the WHFB world at the time of the original. Also, rules for playing as an ork, skaven, undead, etc. I doubt the latter will happen though, and I don't have much hope for the former happening either.

It's surprisingly easy to kill someone with an empty sock.

Oh no.... This would not surprise me one bit!

I would go with either Warhammer Quest, Gorkamorka or Blood Bowl (on the heels of the video game. Its almost certainly going to be a fantasy set game, though. I wish it was Dark Future... but that is really unlikely.

Iain... Dark Future IS Gorkamorka! Just bigger, redder and greener. >:D

Gorkamorka could be splendid.
I could see myself running Gorkamorka with somesortoforkhumansquatchaos mix.

It is highly unlikely to be Gorkamorka or any of their skirmish games, GW simply doesn't want that sort of game anymore. I would love to be proved wrong though.

Bloodbowl is a strong possibility as is warhammer quest as these games are largely self contained. There is also the possibility that they will come up with something new.

either way, it would be wise to buy 10 boxes, wait a year and make a tidy profit on ebay.

I don't think it's going to be Gorkamorka, because this game is going to need additional support. It is going to be something that can be played just with the contents of the box, like a normal board game.

For the same reason I do not think it's going to be BloodBowl. You just cannot put all the teams and minis in just one box (also would not make sense from a sales-point-of-view).

So it's got to be something where you can fit the whole game in one box.

Or maybe it is just going to be a box for WH Fantasy, with nice magic cards and stuff, like they had in the 2nd or 3rd Ed. (don't know for sure).

cheers,

What's the draw for Warhammer Quest? Is it a simplified version of WFRP?

I've seen some outstanding player created scenery for the game, but never so much as picked up a box to look at it.

Another vote for warhammer quest here. Spent hours looking at the adds for it in WD as a kid – but all i had was a second-hand copy of heroquest ???

WHQ is like hero quest or that old video game 'Gauntlet' - 2-4 players each control one character, then go adventuring in a randomly generated dungeon (the dungeon sections are like the spacehulk corridors, which are chosen based on drawing from a deck of cards). It's a similar experience to a role playing game.
