Now this may be interested. I have a personal interest in sub-wargames, and there are very few out there. Can I be kept in the loop on this one, as I am very interested to see how they handle the depth factor of the subs. Thanks.

Hey Vanvlak,

Hopefully it will all be worth it when the minis arrive.  I assume you ordered your aeronefs from Brigade games.

If your building a Turkish fleet defintely have some German designs.  Even though my reserach into the dreadnoughts has revealed the Brits were building a big battleship for Turkey prior to the start of the WWI.  They took it over when she was complete.

Tas,

Are they going to do minis for the sub game.  I thinking a 20,000 Legues under the sea look.  Is that the right idea.

So will there be rules for giant squids.

 :D

Yes CC there are minis planned for Aquanef along the 'electric submersible types of 20k Leagues, also attack Divers in steel bubble helmets.

And yes there are rules apparently for Krakens!

I emailed Steve last week and he is still working on the rules for release in a few months.  I must learn patience....

Yup - was that the 'Agincourt'?
And no, the models are from Wessex, the producers of the game.
Squids ahoy - my Man o' War Kraken is DYING to be unleashed!  :D

I recently got my own Aeronefs painted up. A starter pack of British and one of Astro-Hungarians from Brigade, and I can certainly recommend the figures. They take quite a bit of cleaning (Im not sure I have ever seen so much flash on figures ??? ), but they come out nice in the end...

Did you say you were using the Wessex rules Vanvlak? Had a go with these the other day, specifically the first couple of scenarios from the book...they are certainly simple. :) Not neccassarily a bad thing, but the Full Thurst player in me finds them a little basic. Im coming round to the ideas however, and at the end of the day it does give me an easy way to play with my little floating warships :D

Point. :)  What rules do you plan on using once you get them? I was guessing Wessex if you are buying the figs from there...

Gday Reaversbane!

Great to hear of another 'neffer around here!

I understand and to some extent agree with your commenst on the rules, but I think the Wessex rules allow for bigger games due to the lesser complexity.  I too like FT though.

And its illegal to write about finishing up models and so forth without posting pics!   :D  :p

Close-up of the Austro-Hungarians, these guys are nice and easy to paint, took about 4 hours for the lot one Saturday:
