 ?Well, I guess I am not the only insane one on here. ?:p
What point system is everyone using to add everything up?
Some day I need to actually inventory what I have. I am working on getting ?all of the first founding Chapters and some of the other Chapter companies (cause I like them). The regular marines are easy to get. The specialist troops are not.
Does anyone else "prefer" the square bases besides me? They make it easier to paint but the new ones remind me to much of historical horse and musket troops (line em up and shoot).
Scouts and a few others are ok but I think the older bases look better.

I am retired (sort of). Retired military / VA / merchant seaman but have run a miniature painting business on the side for nearly 20 years. Had a store front for a couple of years but it is more fun as a hobby / business.

In the last two days I have painted companies for White Scars, Blood angels, Dark Angels. For the rest of the week I have Space Wolves, Ultra Marines and may get around to painting some 15mm Napoleonics for sale.

Did I mention that I am a bit insane? Must have been the Viet Nam thing.... ?:p ? :O

When you do so, we have to figure out a way of having a get together to celebrate and maybe do some crazy point game.  :p

Think about it, maybe we all meet in an airport hotel and rent a room for the game too.

Just a thought.

Most of my minis are in 6mm scale, but I have this nasty habit of collecting wargames RULES and every now and then I stumble on a game I like for some reason or another and... you know...

I have minis for Warzone (small Imperial & Bauhaus armies), 40k (a LARGE Black Templars army which is mostly unpainted), Flintloque (a few Undead & Ferach minis).

I am sorely tempted to start playing Warhammer Fantasy with Warmaster figs and Flames of War in 6mm scale. Today I took a look at the Amazon miniatures site and from there ended up on the Two-Hour wargames site. It seems my game colection is about to grow once again. And I have already ordered Maelstorme from Alternative Armies.

Epic, and I recently started BFG. I have some Warmaster models, only for the painting. I have the DS2 ruleset, which makes a nice change of pace from EA sometimes.

Since the baby arrived last year, I had to cut back on the gaming time a lot, because with all the room for the baby stuff, deploying a large scale game is tricky. Will start picking up once we move to our house early next year (I'll have nearly the whole basement for my wargames).

Yeah, but with the loan to reimburse, buying minis will be a big no-no for a few years. On the plus side, I may be able to catch up on some unpainted stuff that has been collecting dust since 1997.  :p

My WIP pictures are really only the tip of the iceberg. I went on a Ebay binge some time ago, plus the E40K fire sale at GW...

Hi Mojarn,

I am sorely tempted to start playing Warhammer Fantasy with Warmaster figs and Flames of War in 6mm scale.

I say: "DO IT!"

I love using rule sets for 6mm that weren't intended for it.

I've been working on a conversion of the really old game "The Monster That Ate Sheboygan" to use 6mm minis.

I've also played a number of other rule sets using 6mm.

It drives some guys nuts and gets other to think... wouldn't it be better to pay $1.00 to $3.00 USD for a 6mm tank than to pay $20.00 USD or more for a 15mm, 20mm, 25mm or larger scaled tank?

I have my evil streak too!

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Hi!

I agree with Maksim, almost any rule set can be changed into a 6mm game. :)

I just play epic and have a few BFG fleets.  I also have the rulebook for warmaster but no armies.

Thats about it other than Avalon Hill/Hasbro board games.

Hi all - I collect epic, Warmaster, Man o' War, BFG, Mordheim, Necromunda, BloodBowl, Inquisitor,LOTR, 40K and WHFB stuff - and get to play in the two local tournaments of 40K and WHFB each year, nothing else! I'm hoping to get an Epic game, at last, though......and we used to do a lot of Man o'War a few years ago, the one game in which I was ever any good.

In that case I'll definitely have to pay you a visit someday; we can play any game except Man O'War.  :;):

Of course, since you have Anti-Mojarn weapon systems (cats)  installed we'd have to find some place to play...  :;):  :p

Oh, and I bet I'd fare worse than you!
